Little River re-opens, since the last confirmed report of it siphoning on 10 July 2013.

Well it’s kinda open. The county-controlled gate to the parking lot is open. But the spring water is flowing underneath the tannic water on top, thus surface will have very low vis. The water level is up higher than the turn in the stairs and cave depths will be 7-10′ higher than “normal.”

Report from Derek:

“Gate to little river is open. One small puddle of water in parking lot still. Water level is up to second landing. Cave water starts around 7ft. Threaded rod is at 25 ft. Vis in cave was about 20 ft with a lot of particulate in water. The cave is flowing pretty hard. Only dove to mud tunnel and line was in good shape.”
